Hey guys, Happy Wednesday!! What are you all currently up to? Any new activities? Lately I have been running near my local park in the mornings and I have had such great motivation into getting back into running! As some of you may not know this, but 2 years ago I fractured my ankle pretty bad and the recovery was long + annoying. Ever since I fractured it, my ankle was obviously not the same and I noticed I had pain when I would go rock climbing or when I would go to the gym ext.
Honestly, I was low-key scared to go out for runs or to try putting any type of stress on the injury… even though I was fully recovered. Well fast forwarding to now, I decided to either way just go through it! What I am doing is wrapping my ankle and making sure I don’t over do it, but I am sure I’ll be fine :).
Getting back into running is definitely hard, especially if you have not ran in a while. Therefore I decided to go into it slowly and work myself up. Here is my first 1 mile run!

Some of you may already know that I am a huge fan of Garmin’s Sport watches! I love, love, love there watches!! 🙂 The one that I currently own is the Fenix 5S Plus and you can click here for a full review on it.
The app I use is called Garmin Connect and this is the app that comes with all of there watches. The app is amazing, besides showing you great data it also allows you to communicate with other athletes and share your activities live.
You can take pictures with your progress and share via social media!

Yay!! I decided to continue running in the mornings and eventually work myself up to prepare for this run :). This run is for a movement which is even more amazing, it is a charity where there mission is to feed the hungry.
It is a virtual run, so you are practicing social distancing and giving back to a great cause! You do get the same package as you would sign up for any other race. Of-course this one is virtual, so you would have to run it on your own and still be part of the community by using there hashtags, taking pics and submitting your time :). This is something I am doing to challenge myself and keep myself motivated, I honestly think this is perfect! There is a date when the run is, so it even makes it more exciting! I will be sharing my progress and the day of the race, so def. stay in tuned for this!
